Hello, Just a quick email to say thank you for such a brilliant harness & for an excellent service. I ordered a Perfect Fit harness for Wookie last Thursday & it arrived the next day (ordinary 1st class post) but it didn't quite fit properly (the strap under her belly didn't quite fit right for her), so on Tuesday (bank holiday weekend) I sent it back to you & ordered a size 3 Fleece Lined Harness - it arrived this morning (Friday) & is a great fit.

We belong to www.schnauzer-forum.co.uk & are meeting up with a whole load of people & Schnauzers (from all f the country) from the forum for a weekend of camping & walking at Dovedale in Derbyshire 18th & 19th of May. I thought I would finally send a photo of my two Staffies with their Dog Games Fleece Lined Harnesses. The larger one, Jack, had a horrible start to life when some low life dumped him out of a car - he was 10 months old and full of demadex mites. After losing all his fur and 18 months of treatment he has turned into a beautiful dog. He is now nearly five years old and loves to do agility in his new harness.
Tess, the smaller one, had recent surgery on her neck for a blocked salivary gland - the harness has been a god send and very comfortable for them both. She also likes agility but gets super excited, she is the eldest at nearly 6 years.

I have ordered my staffy girl a red fleecy harness and a lead to go with it. Then ordered lead to go with my boy's blue harness as I can't leave him out of the fashion stakes!! I have just ordered & received a 3rd and 4th size 3 Fleece Lined Harness for Harley, my Pug.

We've tried other harnesses on him but they are either too tight around the neck or rub him under his front legs. An added bonus is they wash easily.

My friend, and also my flower arrangement teacher, recently changed from dog collar to Fleece Lined Harness. Yesterday, when I met her, she told me that she is so happy that her little terrier is no longer gasping for air during her walks :-) My other friend who also went from collar to FLH, commented that because her dog is not gasping for air and doing heavy breathing when he meets other dogs, he became a lot less likely to be barked at. I feel so happy and fulfilled that I was able to introduce FLH to my friends and their dogs

I'm a bit disapointed. I bought a size 4 harness as my dog measured at 47cm but even on the tightest setting he still managed to get out of the harness on two occasions within 3 days. I've stopped using it.

Hi, I picked up 3 harnesses from you at a dog show at Newbury a while ago, and they are fab! The girls love them, they are easy to wear and wash in this delightful English weather.

My friend, who is a dog trainer, Tomoko Hirota, she is a huge fan of your harnesses and one of the first dog trainers to introduce your harness in Japan. She teaches basic obedience training using fleece lined harness and does volunteer shelter work. Just to let you know, my vet recently purchased a Fleece Lined Harness from me to recommend it to his patient, a Shiba Inu who has a bronchial problem. He noticed the shape of my dogs' harnesses to be gentle to dog's neck and body during my dogs' check-up. Attached are the photos I promised to send you about 2 months ago. My apologies for taking so long to get them to you but our daughter arrived 6 weeks ago, and then about 3 weeks ago Bobbi completely ruptured her remaining ACL and has had surgery for that. It’s been a pretty full-on couple of months. Here is a photo of Bobbi in the harness showing the post-op injured leg.

Part of the rehab I have to do with Bobbi is quite a lot of short walks and she finds the harness very comfortable to walk in.

Also, I just wanted to say thank you again for the donation of the other 2 harnesses you sent me. Your very generous donation raised nearly $100 for the Australian agility team. We leave for Fort Worth on 2nd May.

Thank you for your guidance on buying Alfie our 11 week old Border Terrier his first Harness. The size 2 Fleece Lined Harness is a little big but the way he is growing it will fit him a treat next week. It was his first day out, (he had to have his jabs early) no struggling like a fish on a line which is usual with a collar, in fact he really enjoyed himself.

He is with Ellie our other 9 year old Border who usually wears a Perfect Fit Harness, this has helped with her fear aggression to other dogs. We left it off for Alfie’s first time out in case he tried to ‘hang off it’ but no problems and he hasn’t bothered her since when she has been out walking with it on.

We will be back to buy a Perfect Fit Harness when he reaches 6 months and I will not hesitate to recommend your harnesses to anyone. I only wish I had known about your harness when Ellie was a pup.

Thank you so much for our size 3 Fleece Lined Harnesses, they are comfortable and look lovely on my French Bulldogs, Vader (brindle) and Yoda (fawn).

We have had trouble finding a harness that is suitable for our rescue Frenchie, Vader, who only has 3 legs - collars annoy him and make him scratch but the soft fleece of your harness is soft on his chest where he rubs on the carpet from only having three legs. His remaining shoulder joint slots nicely into the harness (as you can see) and he doesn’t even realise he has it on!

Here is a picture of Maggie the fox in her size 0 Fleece Lined Harness - it fits perfectly! Our main problem with her was that she is small – but very strong. “Normal” dog harnesses that fitted were not strong enough to cope with her strength. Bigger, stronger ones were too big. She broke several, until we discovered yours. If you are asked to fit other foxes, bear in mind that Maggie is a vixen – dog foxes are bigger. But the girth strap needs to be tight – or the fox can get out.

We got her as a tiny 4 week old cub. She was hiding under a hedge in Middlesbrough, being attacked by crows. She was covered in ticks, had ring worm and roundworm, and was in bad shape. We had cared for her a few weeks when she had an accident in her dog crate (bedroom) and broke a front leg. It needed a metal plate to fix it. By the time she was better, she was far too tame to release, so she will be staying. She is now about 8 months old. She had had her puppy vaccinations, and will soon be spayed, as we do not want to attract dog foxes into a farming area.

These harnesses are fabulous - so soft & comfy & made starting with a lead a breeze!

A size 1 fitted him at 12 weeks old when he went to puppy training & he is now in size 2 at 8 months.

Hi Sally and Sean, Just a quick update following my recent order.The size 6 harness and 4 cord bungee lead has made life a great deal easier when it comes to dog walking. My dog still pulls on the lead but not with the same frequency and she doesn't get very far - unlike our experience with a collar and lead! Still a work in progress then, but now I feel that I have one less thing to worry about in terms of safety and can focus on getting her to walk calmly for a change.

Just a note to say a huge "Thank You" for all your help in getting the right harnesses for my dogs.

Billy's Perfect Fit Harness is exactly that - we have tried so may different harnesses on him and this is the only one which fits and doesn't rub him.

Sally is happily wearing her size 2 Fleece Lined Harness withour "freezing" as she has in other harnesses, and has not shown her usual panicky behaviour when approaching other dogs on lead this weekend!

Just a note to say thank you so much for your prompt service and great product. I ordered a size 6 fleece harness on Sunday night and it arrived on Tuesday morning - the timing could not have been more perfect.

My greyhound, Bertie, has taken to wearing the harness with absolutely no bother at all so I'm delighted.

Can you tell me whether you sell the clips separately, we have a pair of Jack Russells in rescue who managed to get hold of the bag of harnesses and have chewed one clip off of 4 harnesses – typical! So if you do sell them our needlework lady can sew them on and we can at least use these for our rescue dogs rather than waste them!! Thanks Nikki www.epsomcaninerescue.co.uk

Nikki, We do not sell the clips separately but please ask and we will supply them free of charge (in limited numbers of course). Sally's design has made the male clips (with prongs) easier to replace. The female clips are more difficult to replace and unstitching can weaken that area of the harness. We do not offer a repair service as these harnesses have been / may have been worn by dogs. Your needlework lady must ensure that the stitching is secure because of the potential strength of rescue dogs living on adrenaline.

I have a question I wondered if you could help me with. After reading a discussion on Facebook concerning headcollars(some people were saying they weren't good for a dog's neck or shoulders) I wondered what your opinion is please? I use a headcollar on my Mini Aussie when I am walking her from my car to work as its a built up area and she lunges and barks if she sees a cat (and there are lots of cats around) and I don't feel I have enough control of her on a harness. I use one of the fleece lined ones from SWAG that work from the back of the neck like the Canny Collar. She doesn't ever pull if she's wearing it unless a cat appears. Do you think this is likely to be bad for her neck? I can use a harness if I am walking her for her regular walks but keep the headcollar in my pocket if I should need to pop it on quickly. Hi Helen - I myself do not stock any of the head collar products because quite a lot of pet owners see them as a quick fix and put their dogs on them all the time so that the dogs have no opportunity to use their sense of smell to lower adrenaline levels and "read face book" with messages from their own species. However, although they can cause damage to eyes, neck and back muscles they do have their place in situations as you describe that you are doing at the moment, where your dog's adrenaline levels and concentration levels are too high to listen to your training and commands. I think keeping it in your pocket for emergencies is a very good compromise and I know many other dog trainers and behaviourists use them for just such circumstances. By the way, by far the best design of head collar is the Dogmatic type. They do far less damage to the eyes and fit really well. If people do need a head collar I recommend they use Dogmatic ones. I recently received a size 5 (purple!!) fleece lined harness from you. I am really delighted with it; we have a (new to us) 2 year-old rescue Border Collie and it has made an enormous difference to walks with him.

Before we had him he had not been socialised and had been kept in a small yard and so was highly stressed by going out and meeting lots of people and, especially, traffic (although we do not live in a big town but a small town, Knighton in Mid Wales there was too much action for our Bryn).

Thank you so much for the speedy delivery of my Size 3 Fleece Lined Harness. It was needed to help in the recuperation of an 11.5 year old American Cocker Spaniel who is learning to walk again after a neck problem caused paralysis. He can now look forward to a few steps in the garden - aided by me holding the harness.

A few years ago when he had a kneecap problem we walked him on a halti to prevent him pulling on the lead - and he hated the halti, but when I pick up the harness I am greeted by a wagging tail!

Your products were recommended by a friend who buys them for her energetic Border Collies - in fact she treated her "boys" to new ones at Discover Dogs Show a few weeks ago. I'm glad I was with her at the time as it meant I didn't end up buying an inferior product from the internet.

I am thrilled with my fleece lined harnesses and collars and both dogs are now in them and very happy wearing them.

Pickle, the black 18 month Shih-Poo has a red fleece lined collar and an orange hi-vis harness (size 2) because he is so hard to see in the dusk and dark as the nights draw in.

Lottie, the 3 month old Llasa-Poo puppy has a purple collar and harness (size 0).

This is Sweep in his size 2 puppy harness and collar in July, now sadly outgrown.

The Perfect Fit Harness is a great replacement though! He's now 5 months old and is a huntaway/collie cross from a working farm in the Lakes, doing brilliantly.

We have been really pleased with the harness and have found it so much kinder for him to wear than a collar. He's such a friendly chap that he wants to say hello to everyone and pulls towards them and with a collar he was choking.

My dog is a Belgian Tervuren. The name is called Liddell. Here is a photo of her with her friend. The harness of Sally is very gentle to dogs. When Ms. Angela Stockdale came to Japan, this harness was taught. Do you know Angela Stockdale? (Yes, we stock her booklet "Towing the Line") My Liddell was often praised. And, it was taught to make it from the collar to the harness. After that, Liddell became it for a better dog. And, we introduced this wonderful harness to Japan. Liddell and I wish dogs in Japan to be liberated from the unpleasantness of the throat. Tomoko

Thank you so much for changing the size of my two Fleece Lined harnesses so quickly. They are a perfect fit and the dogs adore them, I have a hard time getting them to take them off!

They've stood up to a wash after being covered in sand and mud on the beach and look as good as new, fantastic quality. They also eliminated any occasional pulling from my Papillon, something training alone had failed to fix.

I just wanted to let you know how WONDERFUL your Fleece Lined Harnesses have proved to be for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I have owned 6 Cavvies since 1992 and looked after many more for friends and neighbours on holiday. Practically every one has had a tendency to pull on the lead and I have spent many months attempting to train them not to (often without a great deal of success I might add!)

Things came to a head this summer when my old girl aged 10 was diagnosed with Syringomyelia and I was advised to switch from a collar to a harness in order to reduce the pressure on her sensitive neck area. One of my local pet shops (Pet Mad in Cowl Street, Evesham) had a supply of your beautiful fleece-lined harnesses, so I treated all 3 of my dogs to a new one each. I just could not believe the result - INSTANT cessation of pulling on the lead!!!!

In particular, I have a very energetic 18-month old with whom I have been working hard for the past 12 months to get her to walk nicely by my side. She could manage a few steps, but then had to be reminded at least every 30 seconds of what we were supposed to be achieving. The first time I took her out I just could not believe my eyes - she just walked steadily by my side for her usual 2 mile constitutional with hardly a word from me (which was just as well because I was too stunned to say much!)

This morning I tried the same exercise with a 5-year old Cavvie who comes regularly to stay with us while owners are away. She has always pulled and strained excessively, walking sideways in a crab-like movement and panting her heart out (not good, as she has the dreaded heart murmur). I'm sure you can guess what I am going to say - yes, a magical transformation from whirling dervish to sedate and happy little dog trotting peaceably along enjoying her walk. Life has been truly transformed for us all!

I'm sure you know that the Cavalier breed is in dire straits at the moment with more and more young dogs being diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia. Obviously your fleece-lined harnesses must be a tremendous help in taking pressure from their necks and I would like to recommend them to the Cavalier fraternity through the various internet discussion forums which exist, if you agree.

As you can see from the photos I have sent you, my dogs are pretty rough on their harnesses!Dru's main hobbies are digging for moles and she doesn't mind stopping to do it.

Lately, it seems that they are constantly getting all kinds of burrs on them and the harnesses. I am really pleased at the quality of the fleece, it doesn't peel even when they are really stuck in. They have retained their integrity after every wash.

Thanks again for the peace of mind when walking Sebastain (the Podengo on the right) on the Fleece Lined Harness - he was an "escape artist" and wriggled out of every other harness! I thought you might like the attached photo of my dogs in their Fleece Lined Harnesses which I bought some time ago.

They find them very comfortable and for Tracker (the dog in the red harness) they are particularly ideal as he has a recurring wart on his neck which is rubbed by an ordinary collar. They have stood up well to the damp and muddy conditions of the west coast of Scotland, though we have a spare for Tracker so that he can still have his harness on for walks while one is in the wash.

Both dogs took to the harnesses immediately and if we have to get hold of them quickly, the harness is much better than grabbing round the sensitive neck areas. Thanks for an excellent invention! Best wishes Fiona

I thought the size 0 Fleece Lined Harness would be too big for my Siamese cat when I saw it, but it fits perfectly and she adores it. It kind of makes her feel cosy and snug, so she just purrs all the time and runs to the door, ready for a walk! Miraculous. I'll definitely get a replacement when this wears out. Many thanks Basia

PS - Sally, I have to tell you...it's the funniest thing with this harness. I left it out yesterday and this morning it took ages to find it, as Mimi had dragged it into her 'hidey area' for favourite soft things. Then, when I put it on her, she purrs instantly and just sits there, all cosy and snug, like she's being hugged. It's like an instant pacifier....completely bizarre, I've never seen anything like it. The thing is, I hug her a lot, so she is a very tactile, loved, hugged cat. This harness is like a permanant hug! That is the best way of describing it! It's her 'snuggly'. All the best Basia

Thank you for sending Max's size 5 Fleece Lined Harness out so quickly (it arrived the next day which was amazing!) and due to your brilliant size chart it fitted great to!!

Max is a seven year old Labrador X which we got from rescue. As he has his mad moments when he see's another dog we now have a lot more control over him and also his old harness was very hard and would rub on a little fatty lump on his chest - as you can see in the picture, my little handsome chap is very happy with his new purchase, many thanks again,Tracey & Maximus

Thank you for sending the variety of Perfect Fit Harness pieces so that I could find the right fit for Sebastian, the Podengo Medio, who is the escape artist. He ended up fitting the 20mm M top, M front, L girth. I love his Perfect Fit . He panics sometimes and does this standing, twisting , backing out thing of his old harnesses - he did NOT get out of this new harness :-)

Drusilla my Airedale LOVES her new pink size 5 Fleece Lined harness!! She doesn't even care when I put it on her, she hated having her old one put on. They both looked so adorable and comfy. They look so candy colored when they are walking! I can't wait to order Oliver his!! My husband thought that Dru seemed much more comfortable on her walk and Sebastian's skin isn't getting rubbed raw!

I have used the Dog Games harnesses since my boy, Matisse, was recommended to wear a harness due to a head halti putting his head and neck out. I was so impressed with them I then got two more for my girls (two small Border Collies) at KC International Show (I think!) and you very kindly swapped one that was the wrong size. The girls have been happily wearing them ever since, until disaster struck the other day, and we found Dali's harness had been "creatively modified" by her, and she'd chewed the clips off. We ordered a replacement yesterday, along with a fourth one for DJ, and I am thrilled to say that they arrived this morning! No need to worry about putting Dali on a collar for agility training tomorrow, she can wear her new harness.

All too often we only get in touch with companies when we have a problem or a complaint, but I like to say well done when it is deserved, and it is very deserved in this case. I recommend the DG harness to everyone, and indeed Dali's Dad and half sister plus several club mates all have one. Thanks again for the superb service, it is much appreciated. I have just ordered another Fleece Lined harness for my other Papillon (I bought the other just after Christmas). I would just like to say how pleased we are with it.

I have just received the Fleece Lined Harness and wanted to let you know how pleased we are.

Pippa has real problems with her skin. She is allergic to grass and comes out in fluid filled spots which burst causing her skin to fall off. She also gets infections as her immune system gets stressed. As such its difficult for her to wear anything that could rub. She can wear her collar but I don't like walking dogs on collars when they still pull so have been looking for a harness but had given up hope as her skin splits too easily.

However your harness seems to be perfect. The fact its fully fleece lined is brillant and I can't believe how soft it is. She hasn't pulled at all which I think is in part due to the fact she is not in pain. It is possibly a little big but that's stopping pressure points so I'm not going to worry about it. So thank you again for a great product ... I will be telling everyone who will listen. Kat and Pippa

I would like to say how much my hounds and I like your Fleece Lined Harnesses. The dogs obviously find them comfortable as my Borzoi girls actually move towards me when I am putting them on - instead of away from me at speed, which is what they do with hard webbing harnesses!

I like them so much because they are so easy to put on and take off, and with six dogs leaping around wanting to go walkies NOW I almost have to rugby tackle each one to put their 'kit' on!! Ease and Speed are essential here!! Anyway, thought you might like to see my girls in their smart and comfortable 'Kit'!! - Jenny
