TRAFFIC CONE
(or similar object)

This unusual piece of dog training equipment is used in the Dog-Games Round and Bounce & Round, where the dogs are taught to run up to the traffic cone, go round it (it does not matter in which direction) and return to their handler.

When training medium to large sized dogs, we recommend that a 75cm high traffic cone is used to prevent dogs either accidentally knocking it over and becoming apprehensive of getting too close to it, or try to jump over it (which often happens with smaller traffic cones).  The dogs respect this size of obstacle! 

However, it is not compulsory to have to use a traffic cone to play these Games - any suitable object is acceptable. For instance, you can use a -
