This book is very interesting and readable, with loads of colour photographs and very interesting information about how your dog uses its
senses in its everyday life.
Taken from the back cover -
"The dog is man's best friend, but what do we actually know about his perception, his senses and his ability to adapt that allow him to live in close contact with us?
Even if you have read a lot about training, imprinting and the behaviour of dogs - only once you know how a dog
perceives his environment will you be able to fully appreciated his behaviour. Perhaps you then better understand the aspects of his personality that were previously a mystery to you. Some unpleasant behaviourism may simply turn out to be a reaction to very strong
sensory impressions and can thus be avoided. Reading this book, you will learn to understand your pet better and also benefit from this knowledge on a daily basis.
In this fascinating book you will -
- learn how dogs perceive their surroundings, how they smell, see, hear and feel
- learn how dogs cope with their lives - often in astonishing ways
- get an insight into their sensory capabilities that are often beyond our imagination"
