DIET & NUTRITION

At various stages in a dog's life its nutritional and dietary requirements change, and this needs to be taken into consideration when a dog shows signs of illness or stress.

For instance -

  • Too little or too much of certain trace elements can have an effect on dogs behaviour and health.
  • Some dogs become hyperactive when fed too much protein (meat).
  • Puppies have very different dietary requirements to adult dogs.
  • Older dogs have very different requirements to young and middle aged dogs.

In no way would I claim to have any expertise in the field of dogs dietary and nutritional requirements. This area is high technical and I strongly recommend that you talk to your vet and get a referal to a qualified canine nutritionist.

I would like to take this opportunity of strongly recommending to our readers that you go along to listen to -
